From 1 July 2026, the next stage of EU regulations on light international transport will come into force. It will cover, among others, some transport operations carried out by delivery vehicles and vehicle combinations above 2.5 t, used in international goods transport or cabotage operations.
In practice, this means, among other things, the obligation to use smart tachographs and to follow rules on driving time, breaks and drivers’ rest periods.
For Labo Print customers, the most important aspect is the possible impact of these changes on the planning of international deliveries. We use courier companies and logistics operators, which means that for some deliveries outside Poland — especially express deliveries — a larger time buffer and earlier confirmation of availability and delivery conditions may be needed.
When is it worth planning the delivery earlier?
Especially when the materials need to be delivered outside Poland within a short time frame or by a specific date.
This applies in particular to:
- retail and POS campaigns carried out in several countries,
- deliveries for trade fairs, events and promotional campaigns,
- shipments to several locations,
- materials required for a specific installation date,
- express orders with international delivery.
This does not mean that every delivery outside Poland will be at risk of delay. It means, however, that for some projects it is worth checking the real logistics options earlier.
What should be specified in the enquiry?
For orders with international delivery, we recommend providing the key information as early as possible:
- country and delivery address,
- number of locations,
- planned delivery or installation date,
- list of materials and formats,
- deadline for approval of production files.
The earlier we know these details, the easier it is to plan production, check transport availability and confirm a realistic delivery date.
