PVC-free Mesh

PVC-free Mesh

PVC-free Mesh is a perforated polyester mesh for large-format printing, intended primarily for large outdoor applications. The material contains no PVC, making it suitable for projects where excluding this plastic from the substrate is one of the requirements. The open mesh structure allows air to pass through and reduces wind pressure on the printed surface. This makes PVC-free Mesh a suitable solution for advertising installed on fences, scaffolding and façades, among other applications.

What is PVC-free Mesh?

PVC-free Mesh is an advertising mesh made on a polyester base and coated with resin. Its composition contains no PVC.

Its characteristic feature is the perforated surface. The openings allow air to pass through the print, so the mesh creates less wind resistance than a solid banner material. This is particularly important for large-format advertising and displays installed in open spaces.

The material is printed using UV technology and can be used for advertising, information and event applications.

What is PVC-free Mesh used for?

PVC-free Mesh is particularly suitable where a large print area is required and the installation site is exposed to wind.

Typical applications include:

  • advertising on scaffolding,
  • banners installed on fences,
  • advertising on building façades,
  • screening and visual communication at construction sites,
  • large-format outdoor campaigns,
  • signage and communication at events,
  • large advertising surfaces requiring a PVC-free material.

The perforated structure makes the material especially useful where a solid banner would place a greater wind load on the supporting structure.

When is PVC-free Mesh worth choosing?

PVC-free Mesh is worth considering when a project requires both a perforated large-format printing material and a substrate without PVC.

It is suitable, among others, for advertising agencies, event companies, outdoor campaign contractors and resellers carrying out projects according to a client’s material specification.

The material is a good choice especially when:

  • the advertising format is large,
  • the surface will be exposed to wind,
  • the print will be installed on scaffolding, a façade or a fence,
  • the structure requires an air-permeable material,
  • the project specification requires a PVC-free material.

What should you consider when designing and ordering?

The perforated structure affects how the graphic is perceived. For this reason, PVC-free Mesh performs best in designs intended to be viewed from a greater distance.

When preparing the design, it is worth:

  • using clear contrast between text and background,
  • avoiding very small text and thin elements,
  • limiting fine details in the most important parts of the design,
  • taking into account the target viewing distance,
  • maintaining suitable margins at edges and fixing points.

For outdoor applications, the mounting and finishing method should also be adapted to the size of the print, the supporting structure and conditions at the display location.

The maximum material width is 3.20 m. Larger applications may require appropriate planning of the graphic split and the method used to produce the final format.

PVC-free Mesh parameters and finishing

Weight: 220 g/m²
Material composition: 59% polyester, 41% resin
PVC: the material contains no PVC
Printing technology: UV
Maximum material width: 3.20 m
Structure: perforated

The finishing method should be selected according to the format and intended mounting location and method. For large outdoor applications, appropriate spacing of fixing points and matching them to the supporting structure is particularly important.

FAQ

Is PVC-free Mesh really free of PVC?
Yes. The material supplier confirms that Mesh contains no PVC.
How does PVC-free Mesh differ from a solid banner material?
The main difference is the perforated structure. The openings allow air to pass through the advertising surface, so the material creates less wind resistance than a solid substrate. This is particularly important for large outdoor applications.
Is PVC-free Mesh suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The material is intended, among other things, for advertising installed on fences, scaffolding and façades as well as other large-format applications.
What printing technology is used for PVC-free Mesh?
The material is printed using UV technology.
What is the maximum material width?
The maximum material width is 3.20 m. For larger applications, the production and joining of individual sections should be planned accordingly.
Is PVC-free Mesh an ecological material?
The term “PVC-free” refers to a specific property of the material – the absence of PVC in its composition. It is not equivalent to describing the material generally as “ecological”.
Can PVC-free Mesh be recycled?
The possibility of recycling depends on the material composition, the available technology and the local waste management system. Before sending the material for recycling, the requirements of the specific waste recipient should be verified.
